The Fun Stuff

Some of my most documented work

At SportsNewsBlitz, I took on wide-ranging responsibilities that gave me direct experience in managing and growing a content-driven sports brand.

I led a 12-person team of creators, overseeing social media management, content scheduling, and graphic design while also producing and hosting our podcast.

Beyond content, I handled recruitment of contributors, agreed the brand’s first sponsorship deal, and managed the full activation; covering campaign operations, creative output, and delivery.

This role developed my skills in leadership, digital marketing, sponsorship activation, and multi-channel content production

“At Emley AFC, I delivered dynamic match-day content, from pre-game build-up and live updates to post-match highlights. Using graphics, short-form video clips, and interactive social media elements to keep fans engaged throughout the entire experience.

On the commercial side, I developed strategic, tiered sponsorship packages, identified and approached relevant businesses, and created value-rich activations such as Goal-of-the-Month sponsorship and match-ball branding.

These initiatives demonstrate my strengths in real-time content creation, digital storytelling, stakeholder outreach, sponsorship strategy, and community engagement.”

As a guest on the ‘Life In Sport’ podcast, I spoke on career-building, networking, and how social media is shaping grassroots football. Showcasing my skills in live communication, strategic storytelling, and brand messaging.

The experience highlights my ability to represent ideas confidently and connect with audiences in real-time.

As part of my research role with Huddersfield Giants, I explored how competitor analysis and creative ideation could be applied to match-day experiences and commercial growth.

This work involved analysing hospitality packages across different clubs, identifying trends that could inspire new offerings, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.

I took this a step further by becoming fully engrossed in the subject, theorising my own ideas as potential future concepts.

Showcasing not only research and analytical skills but also creativity, commercial awareness, and forward-thinking.

At West Riding FA, I led real-time match coverage, editing graphics and video highlights as events unfolded and engaging fans instantly through tone-matched posts and comment responses.

This role honed my rapid content creation, visual storytelling, audience engagement, and adaptive communication skills in a high-pressure setting.

As a long time member of the community, player and coach at Scissett FC, I have taken on roles ranging from youth coach to social media lead, driving both player development and community visibility.

Over two seasons I coached U8 teams, designing inclusive sessions, coordinating with parents, and celebrating achievements.

I also led marketing for community events, creating social campaigns that delivered record attendance and fundraising results.

On top of that, I revolutionised our digital presence, implementing structured content, player features, graphics, and video to significantly grow our online following and fan engagement.

During my time with Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Town Women, I supported the marketing and communications teams across competitor analysis, creative campaign development, and live content creation.

My role involved researching rival clubs to identify trends, pitching new initiatives such as the Terrier 7s programme and pre-match video concepts, and producing written, video, and social content for both men’s and women’s football.

These experiences developed my skills in research, creativity, content production, and adaptability under pressure.
